Jesus has set forth several criteria for being a true Christian. Of them all He stressed the importance of your Love to God in these words.
"And he said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the great and first commandment. "(Mt 22:37-38 AV)
We are true Christians when we make God the center of everything in our life. Sometimes we are not able to do that. We tend to give more importance to our family , our work or other activities. We seek God only when we have difficulties and trials. And we are breaking the first great commandment..
I was also just like that..turning to God only in times of need. And my life started loosing its focus..everything was going wrong.. Because I was giving more importance to my family and work than God. And when I made God my center, all started falling into place. My life changed from utter turmoil to sudden calm...
"And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm." (Mr 4:37-39 AV)
Show Me Your Ways
"Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day"(Ps 25:4-5 AV)
We are always leading our life as we like, not at all bothering whether it is according to God's will or not. We try to make it in life on our own ...
We plan out things and start working towards our aim ...And we even reach there too.. But the result was not what we expected..It just doesn't give the expected satisfaction or pleasure...
WHY?
Because we didn't seek God's guidance. We didn't follow His words and His path..
Always ask His counsel.. Submit everything to Him... Let Him lead you..Be open to His words and follow them...Sometimes it may feel trifle difficult and discouraging but in the long end you will find everlasting success and happiness.
I learned this the hard way.. I tried to make it on my own and I made plans and started several online business ventures and all just wouldn't take off.. Something will happen and I am back to square one. My marriage was in complete mess...
At that time I had only God to turn to...
After that I submitted everything to Him...I let Him lead my way.....and it is because now God is in charge of everything...
I have once again started doing online business but with God leading me...
"Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee."(Ps:143:8 AV)
